在丝绸之路的千年历史中，汉代（公元前202年—公元220年）是一段辉煌而不朽的篇章，标志着丝绸之路的正式起源。
西汉武帝在黄河上游以西设置武威、酒泉、张掖、敦煌四郡，史称“河西四郡”。 《汉书·西域传》记载：“置四郡，占据两关”。它是多民族对抗与交融之地，是中原与西域的交通枢纽，自古以来就是重要的交通大动脉。十三柴设计师从河西四郡的历史背景中汲取灵感，创作了丝绸之路系列下的独家原创图案“河西四郡”，并获得了知识产权保护。
在设计过程中，我们选择了四郡的代表性建筑——昭武门、钟鼓楼、镇远楼、莫高窟作为主要设计元素。结合丹霞地貌的色彩特征，以如意葫芦图案（谐音“如意福禄”，意为“吉祥如意”）为主轮廓，绘制建筑线条分为四等份，以体现河西走廊作为稳定器的重要地理、经济、文化地位。我们还利用古代建筑图案来展示中华文化的深厚底蕴和民族自信。
